Often considered to be one of the best episodes of How I Met Your Mother is season one's The Pineapple Incident (fun fact: for the longest time this was the shows highest rated season up until the last season). And one of the reasons why is because as Marshall puts it "Dammit Trudy what about the pineapple!?". If you're confused, basically the episode revolves around Ted waking up with no memory from the night before when he got drunk, and there are two things unordinary that he finds when he wakes up, a woman in his bed and a pineapple; we later find out that the woman is named Trudy, but the pineapple remains a mystery, throughout the entire episode we never find out where the pineapple came from but not only that, we never find out where the pineapple comes from for the rest of the show. And this was a show that always made callbacks and references to previous moments, and for a moment as popular as the pineapple to never get a resolution on where it came from is quite a big deal, but they said in the episode "we never did find out where that pineapple came from" and I'm happy about that, I'm perfectly fine with never finding out where the pineapple came from. However, a few weeks ago, people were posting all about the revelation of where the pineapple came from and the mystery was finally explained. Now I don't know if this was an official statement by someone from the show or if it's just a complicated fan theory simply because I didn't read any of the articles. I don't want to know what happened to the pineapple that lead to it being placed in Ted's bedroom, after all, it's a Classic Schmoesby moment, why ruin it with the truth?
