Ratchet & Clank PS4 - Trailer Review

Ratchet & Clank was my childhood videogame, to this day, those first three games are some of the greatest games I have ever played. The future series as well was a great expansion of the franchise. in Spring of 2016 we shall see both a movie and a new videogame being released and i am insanely excited for both. In this trailer, we can tell that the new videogame is a reboot of the entire franchise, so in terms of story we know very little about it aside from the fact that it is a reboot. However what we can tell is that the game is going to have a wide variety of creative and unique weapons, which is what the series is best known for, the first new weapon seen here turns the enemy into pixels and it looks awesome! The air combat segment shown in the trailer looks awesome, although the air combat in literally every Ratchet & Clank game up till this point have been big disappointments, but here's hoping they finally do something different. Then there are the graphics...holy shit, this game looks visually amazing! I've never seen a Ratchet & Clank game look this good, this is straight up next generation quality!

My only issue is the pre-order bonus...Now look, i hate pre-orders, i'd much rather wait until the game came out, if there are no reported issues on the first day, then i'll buy it. Pre-ordering takes away that option, so i never bothered, but then games starting trying to entice gamers into pre-ordering with exclusive DLC and bonuses and it fucks everything up! This game sadly continues that trend by offering an exclusive gun by pre-ordering...Fuck You! The guns are the best thing about Ratchet & Clank! You can't turn them into fucking DLC! Don't privatise the best thing about the series and make me pay extra money to have the full set! If the pre-order stands then what's to stop them from doing this with other guns and content? Lock them away as more DLC to rip-off gamers. Pre-Order bonuses are the stepping stone towards this kind of shit i don't stand for it! So fuck you and fuck your pre-order bonus!

With that being said, fuck yeah i'm gonna buy this game, too bad i apparently won't be getting all of the guns, because Sony decided to be a greedy fuck face and continue this trend of ruining gaming company credibility and slowly dig gaming into a bigger grave...maybe i'm being a little bit melodramatic.
