E3 Expo - Dishonored 2 Annouced

The first day of E3 has come and gone, with Bethesda Software being the first to have their press conference and with Fallout 4 already being announced last week (Still not sure why they chose to do that) the big announcement for them is Dishonored 2 (Even though it really should be spelt Dishonoured). The first Dishonored was released in late 2012 to critical acclaim, following the story of Corvo Attano, a bodyguard for the Queen who is framed for her murder, to seek revenge and rescue the princess Emily Kaldwin. The sequel takes place 15 years later where Corvo has trained Emily to be a master assassin just like him and the player will have the choice of playing as either characters, the story as we know so far is the two are trying to protect their Empire from an otherworldly usurper. From the trailer and information revealed, the game will follow similar gameplay mechanics to the original game, you have a multitude of weapons and abilities and if you are skilled enough, you can get through the entire game without killing anyone.

I am very happy with this announcement, Dishonored was one of the best games of 2012 for it's creative and challenging gameplay and unique art design, the story may have been simple but still enjoyable. If the second game brings back the gameplay elements of the original with some new weapons, improves the story and graphics then it will be one of my most anticipated games of next year. The release date for the game is expected to be released in the spring of 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. This also comes with the announcement that the original Dishonored will be receiving a definitive edition (because everything does these days) where it shall include upgraded graphics as well as all of the DLC available for PS4 and Xbox One, expected to be released in Autumn of this year, which I am also looking forward to.
