Pranks Are All Wrong!

One of the biggest and often most controversial forms of vidoes on YouTube is prank videos, people that specialize in going around town and making "pranks" and getting loads of views for them for minimum effort. Now these prank channels often go through a lot of controversy for being rude, inappropriate and more often than not, immoral and people often say these aren't real pranks, they're just people being twats. And I agree with that sentiment, but I take it one step furthur, even if these pranks had no controversy surrounding them, they're still not pranks! A prank is doing something risky, silly, unexpected, etc and convince someone that it is a legitimate scenario, thus when revealing the fact it's not serious, they look like a fool. This is what a prank is. What a lot of YouTubers do is one of two things, either putting themselves in a silly situation and making them look like the fool rather than the victim of the "prank". Or forcefully putting someone in a silly situation, in which case that's not a prank because they didn't fall for anything! Now i'm not saying these videos aren't funny...I mean i don't think they're funny but every so often they get a laugh out of me. What I'm saying is that these aren't pranks either the wrong person looks like the fool or no one looks like the fool, that's the major problem here, So learn what a prank is or don't do it at all!
