This Just In! Men's Rights Activists Are Dumb!

Can we all just agree that any kind of activist is a group of people you should avoid? 90% of the time they are people looking for a fight in a non-serious issue, here's the latest example of that. Men's Rights Activist Aaron Clarey has said that all men should boycott this film because Charlize Theron's character Furiosa orders Mad Max around and this is an example of oppression and against men and (i'm quoting him here) "Because if men sheepishly attend and Fury Road is a blockbuster, then you, me and all the other men (and real women) in the world will never be able to see a real action movie ever again that doesn't contain some damn political lecture or moray about feminism, SJW-in, and socialism". Now i can comfortably say as an adult male that i am very much looking forward to seeing Mad Max Fury Road opening weekend and completely ignore Aaron's comments because they are completely bullshit.

Aaron's big problem seems to be that a woman is in charge of a man *shock!* because that never happens in real life (Take note of the sarcasm in my typing). But seriously? Is Aaron an idiot? A movie having a strong female character is not a commentary on socialism, but even the ones that are, that's not a bad thing, it's a good message to have, it's how the message that's delivered can be damaging. But whether or not Mad Max portrays the message well (which according to those that have seen it, it does) there is no way that this is going to effect future blockbuster action movies in feeling pressured to have a feminist message in it, you know what they may have? Women being treated like human beings, shocking i know (again, sarcasm). Also just watch the trailer for this film, it's riped with butch, testosterone filled, over the top, bloody action, if you honestly think this film is pandering in anyway against men then you're clearly looking at this with a narrow perspective.

I know i shouldn't be giving this any attention because anyone with the title "activist" who feels that the media is the most important issue right now is dumb in my book and should be ignored for being slacktivists, but this was just an exceptional case. So I will just leave you all with an open message to Aaron Clarey: Shut the fuck up :)
