It was announced last night that Young Justice will finally be getting a third season. For those of you that aren't aware, Young Justice was a DC Animated Series that ran from 2010 to 2013 when it was sadly cancelled due to poor merchandising sales. However, it also has a very passionate fanbase who have been petitioning for a 3rd season for years now, something the crew behind the show have also been hoping to do. Finally, our prayers have been answered, Sam Register the President of Warner Bros. Animation announced that the show will be coming back, with showrunners Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman returning.
Though it has not been said when it will be returning or on what platform, it is rumoured to be returning to Netflix. Most of the cries for a third season came after the show was released on Netflix and even if the specific numbers haven't been released, it had very high viewership figured that lead to months of speculation on if Netflix was planning on picking the show up.
Well it's about time something good came out of 2016, I am so excited about this because it's just one of those things that rarely actually happens, a TV show returning from cancellation 3 years after it was cancelled? That's one show a decade level rare. Young Justice was honestly a phenomenal show that I have gone back to rewatch half a dozen times so I can not express how happy I am for this to actually happen and I will be waiting patiently for its return.
