Weeks ago, it was announced that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be released in 2018, that's 4 years away from now and when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released, now obviously we'll be getting Spider-Man stuff in-between, but we won't officially see another Spider-Man movie for 4 whole years...that's insane. Not that we have to wait that long, I'm more than fine with waiting 4 years for another Spider-Man movie, the thing that gets to me is when I realised that the next time I see a Spider-Man movie in theatres, i'll be an adult...I'll be 22 years old, I'll have a job, I'll have my own place, I will have finished my education...this is insane. I mean when the first Spider-Man movie came out I was 7 years old, it was the first ever superhero movie I watched, when Spider-Man 3 came out I had just started secondary school. When Amazing Spider-Man came out in theatres I was in college, when Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out I was just finishing college. And now with Amazing Spider-Man 3 coming out and I'll be an adult...this franchise has been there with me through all the major points in my life, every time I see a new Spider-Man movie something major has changed, who I am as a person is completely different from who I was when I went to see the last film, and the same is happening with this new film...and the strangest part is, this is the only thing in my future I can confirm. In 2018 I don't know where I want to live, I don't know what my job will be, who my friends will be, what i'll be doing with my life, the only thing that I am 100% sure on about my life in the year 2018 is that I will go see The Amazing Spider-Man 3 in theatres, and the fact that that's the only thing I can confirm feels just a little bit daunting to me.
