You hear a lot of people say how they find when you can sit in absolute silence with somebody and not have it be awkward is when you know you are completely comfortable with that person, this does not apply to me, nor do I get the appeal of it. When I am with one of my best friends, that should mean we could talk about things forever and ever and not run out of stuff to talk about, why the hell would I want to hangout with someone if we're just going to sit there silently? I can sit silently and think about things all on my own, if i'm hanging out with people then i would want to talk to them. It doesn't help that some of my closest friends also hold to this philosophy where you don't have to fill the silence with pointless conversations, no i really do, because it doesn't matter who the person is, if we're just sat there and we don't have something to talk about, it always feels awkward, and makes the concept of us hanging out seem kinda pointless. So no, I don't think comfortable silence will ever be a thing with me, and hopefully it never will be.
